Ms Anne Hampton

Anne HamptonAnne Hampton joined the University of Buckingham in September 1995, having been a Senior Lecturer at Oxford Brookes University for 7 years where she specialised in International Tourism and Hotel Management. Since joining the University of Buckingham Anne has broadened her expertise into the areas of International Business and Marketing which she teaches at postgraduate and undergraduate levels. She is also Programme Director of the MBA. Anne continues her involvement in tourism and hotel management through her professional activities and working with colleagues at other academic institutions.

Anne’s main academic interest is in the global development of international businesses. Her areas of expertise include:

  • cross-cultural aspects of marketing
  • the development of global mindsets in SMEs and multinationals
  • international hotel management / international tourism

She is currently working on a research project entitled “Developing Global Mindsets” with James Rowell. They are investigating the issues facing companies that are growing their international business activities. The study aims to establish how such companies develop, manage and organise their international operations with a specific emphasis on management development and thinking from an international perspective.

Anne enjoys spending her free time with her family and riding her horse.
