BSc, ACCA
Katie is no stranger to Buckingham after completing a BSc Business Studies with Finance in February 2004. After gaining her first class degree she joined the Mercedes-Benz graduate programme and undertook a variety of roles including Control Analyst and Retail Financial Accountant. Whilst working at Mercedes she qualified as an ACCA accountant through BPP.
Katie teaches Introduction to Financial Accounting and Financial Management on the undergraduate programmes, Financial Reporting on the MSc Finance programme and Understanding Financial Information on MSc Service Management. She is Programme Director for the undergraduate Accounting and Financial Management programme. Katie is also keen on teaching accounting to professionals and teaches on the Centre for Automotive Management programme. This is run through Buckingham and involves companies such at CAT and JCT600 developing their employees knowledge academically.
Alongside teaching Katie is studying at Birkbeck College, London, for her Master’s in Research in the area of mergers and acquisitions. In her spare time Katie enjoys attending Jazzercise classes, travelling and socialising with friends.
