6 June 2005 – Mohamed Bellahcene joins Clore Laboratory as research fellow

Dr Mohamed Bellahcene has joined the Clore Laboratory, University of Buckingham, UK, after completing a postdoctoral fellowship with Professor Michael Marber at the Rayne Institute, St Thomas’ Hospital, London, UK, investigating signalling pathways initiated by TNFα in the heart.

Mohamed holds a PhD in Pharmacy, specialising in Physiology, from the University of Basle, Switzerland, and degrees in Pharmacology and Biochemistry from the Université Louis Pasteur in Strasbourg, France. His Diplôme d’Etudes Approfondies (DEA) at the Université Louis Pasteur, Strasbourg, was in Neuroscience.

Mohamed will be undertaking studies in the Clore Laboratory on a fellowship from AstraZeneca on validation of novel targets for diabetes and obesity therapy.
