Certificate in Management Studies

The Certificate in Management Studies is designed to prepare students for the MBA. This programme of study is primarily intended for applicants who may fall into any or all of the below categories:

  • Those possessing a first degree but who have not done any academic study for several years and therefore need preparation prior to entry to the MBA.
  • Those whose Degree is in a non-business subject not clearly related to business.
  • Overseas students possessing a first degree but who do not yet have the required level of English competence to enter directly onto the MBA programme.

Applicants possessing a good first degree who successfully complete the CMS are eligible for entry to the MBA in the following January intake.

The programme lasts from July to December ( term dates ). The programme comprises eight courses taken from the undergraduate business studies programme.

What are the entry requirements?

You will need to have:

  • A second class honours business degree (or equivalent) from a recognised university in a non-business subject.
  • A good command of the English language both written and oral
    ( IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent).
